Kyandro van het Buiten-Land is undoubtedly one of the young talents in Dutch eventing breeding. The biggest compliment is that horsewoman Renske Kroeze wants to keep him. But Kyandro has already been noticed. Professional stables were showing interest as early as the first times practice jumping, only just under saddle. In the KWPN championship in Varsseveld, he received an 8 for all elements in cross-country from jury members Gert Naber and Martin Lips. In the competition for young eventing horses in Renswoude too, there were high marks for the four faultless performances. Kyandro Utopia van het Buiten-Land finished at the top of the ranking.
Kyandro van het Buiten-Land scores extremely high as an eventing horse in all assessments. Special mention is made of his excellent gallop, roomy, with good balance, the way he really goes for it in the field but also his down-to-earth attitude, all of which characteristics form a superior combination for a successful eventing horse.
Kyandro is a son of international show-jumping star, Kannan. Kyandro's dam is a daughter of Vaillant (S. For Pleasure), influential in eventing. She was unable to enter the sport because she was injured in an accident at an early age. She also produced the seven-year-old Zirocco mare, Initia Utopia, now jumping at 1m35 and the Herald 3 mare, Keara Utopia, that was also very successful in the five-year competition for young eventing horses and finished in third place. Her dam, Initia, also jumped at 1m35 where Calypso, son of Anglo-Arab Hadj, had provided a good basis for the sport of eventing.
Horsewoman Renske Kroeze says about Kyandro: "Kyandro is a very talented horse with the right mindset and willing to work. He has a lot of blood but is not hot-blooded. He has ample capacity and has no trouble overseeing the issues in cross-country. As far as I'm concerned, those are characteristics which make him promising as a future successful international eventing horse."
